My why is Jesus.
In January of 2023, I chose to participate in 21 days of prayer with my home church. I did not make any New Year’s resolutions because I knew they would quickly lead to thoughts of failure and discouragement. Have you ever been tired of letting yourself down? It is easy to fall into the trap of striving to earn God’s love and becoming anything and everything to become a model citizen in this world.
I only had one authentic request. I wanted to start falling madly in love with Jesus. When I laid down religion, Jesus invited me into a relationship with him that awoke a deep fire inside of me. I didn’t do anything except be available to his presence and outpouring.
My request may seem simple but it runs far deeper than all of the other thoughts and broken promises I had made to myself over the years. Up until this point there was so much trauma and fear paralyzing me from moving forward.
I was seeking a greater level of intimacy and trust with Jesus. There comes a point on your walk with Christ, where you simply have to choose between Him and everything else vying for your attention. There are so many distractions, setbacks, trials, and tribulations in this world, BUT GOD!
The building blocks of a firm foundation begin and end with Jesus. I am inviting you on a spiritual journey. One where we grow and develop in our faith together.
Perfect love casts out all fear.
I started with my heart’s intention and prayer so that he can cast the vision for what this is to become.
